The Mandalorian is a TV series available on Disney +, a service that will arrive in Italy starting from 24 March. The projection behind the actors is in this way very realistic, and allows us to take a look at the future of what the development of films and TV series will be like. The staging allowed the cast to shoot scenes from multiple locations in a single day, even working for 10 hours if needed, or even (literally) moving a mountain in the background for a better shot. These environments were modified in real time, during filming, and allowed Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Werner Herzog and others to interact as if they were in a physically constructed space. This technique was made possible thanks to a semi-circular LED video wall 270 feet long and 20 feet high, which showed the different scenarios of the TV series. The hit TV series The Mandalorian was made with the help of Unreal Engine 4, graphic engine created by Epic Games through a technique that consists in superimposing backdrops created in CG on real actors.
